The 4th UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026) will take place from September 14 to 17, 2026, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Co-hosted by the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) alongside UNESCO and the International Centre for AI Research and Ethics (ICAIRE), the high-level event serves as a premier global platform for responsible AI governance. Moreover, GFEAI 2026 holds particular significance as it marks the fifth anniversary of UNESCO’s landmark Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence—the world’s first globally agreed framework adopted by 193 member states. Likewise, the forum provides a timely opportunity for international leaders to assess progress, address emerging challenges like generative and agentic AI, and refine policy frameworks to keep pace with rapid technological acceleration. Over four days, the forum will bring together global policymakers, industry leaders, academics, and international organisations.
