The Ministry of Education of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia recently unveiled the National Unified Admissions Platform, popularly known as the ‘Qabul Platform,’ as a strategic initiative to promote digital transformation and standardise admissions processes for government educational institutions.
The platform includes the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Scholarship Programme for Bachelor’s Degrees (Masar Imdad), the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, and 28 government educational institutions—26 Saudi universities. This guarantees equal chances and boosts competition between male and female students in every part of the Kingdom.

Several well-established principles form the foundation of this experience. Regarding transparency, the platform gives candidates a clear picture of their options before deciding by enabling them to view their competitive rankings and the minimal admission requirements for their majors instantly.
Fairness-wise, the platform uses an accurate electronic comparison mechanism that guarantees everyone an equal chance without human intervention. The application date will take precedence only if there is a tie for the last seat, because the weighted academic score and the major’s admission capacity determine it.
The safeguarding of user data and its direct integration with governmental organisations like the Noor System and the Qiyas Centre demonstrate reliability. This guarantees the retrieval of data from official sources, lowers errors, and improves procedure accuracy. By enhancing its services in response to user reviews and feedback, the platform also embraces the idea of continuous improvement, making sure it is constantly attentive to the needs of stakeholders and students.

Admission requirements and the application process
For the 1446 AH/2025 AD academic year, the application process is completely online and cost-free. Beginning on May 28, 2025, the application confirmation period came after the application submission period, which ran from June 29 to July 10 of the same year.
Applying requires fulfilling some general requirements, such as being a Saudi national or having a Saudi mother, having a high school degree or its equivalent, and having valid results from the General Aptitude Test and Achievement Test for the majors they need to pursue. They should also have no past or present records at the university they want to attend, and be medically fit for physical education and health tracks.
To get accepted, government or military workers must submit a letter of assignment from the Ministry of Human Resources or, in the case of the military, the General Administration of Human Resources, depending on the type of work.

Post-Nomination Processes & Platform Features
The platform facilitates the student’s selection process by offering support tools. You can add up to 25 academic preferences, and throughout the application process, these are subject to change at any time. Additionally, it offers visual cues in red and green that consistently show how competitive the student’s grades are in their major in comparison to other applicants, helping them to make an informed choice.
Nominated students must confirm their acceptance within the allotted time frame of July 12–14, 2025, following the announcement of the results. Failure to receive confirmation will result in the nomination being permanently revoked. Following the student’s acceptance, the colleges, and universities will get in touch with them directly to finalise the acceptance process and assign university numbers.
In collaboration with the Safeer platform, the platform also handles the application process for outside scholarship programmes as an extension of its complementary function. International universities allow students to choose three preferences from an approved list that includes a number of well-known nations, including the US, UK, Germany, Japan, and France. This gives Saudi students new opportunities to enrol in officially sanctioned programmes that offer top-notch education.
