The Kingdom’s tourism calendar, known as the Saudi Summer, is a high-demand travel season for both domestic and foreign tourists, a time for fun, entertainment, and holidays.
In addition to managing the ambience and archaeological site visits, the Kingdom provides a distinctive setting for leisure and recreation at resorts. This places stringent controls on tourism to guarantee a peaceful and delightful environment free from disruptions or contaminants.
With the introduction of the Saudi Summer 2025 calendar, which features the theme ‘Colour Your Summer’ for domestic and foreign tourists, the Kingdom has improved its oversight of the travel industry. It offers a remarkable travel season full of activities and events to suit every preference.
To Ensure Saudi Summer 2025 is A Success
The Kingdom’s Ministry of Tourism has increased its inspection activities in most of the country’s cities and regions, which are popular summer travel destinations. This initiative seeks to guarantee the quality of services offered to tourists and visitors from inside and outside the Kingdom and ensure that various hospitality establishments comply with licensing regulations.
Since the start of the Saudi summer season, inspection tours have visited some areas and cities, such as Asir, Al-Baha, Taif, and Jeddah, during the last two months.
The Ministry’s inspection teams visited more than 2,800 summer destinations for inspections. The Ministry evaluated the calibre of services rendered, verified adherence to safety and hygienic regulations, and confirmed that they had acquired the required operating licences through these inspection visits.
Additionally, the Ministry stressed how crucial it is that all hospitality facilities, especially private hospitality facilities throughout the Kingdom, adhere to high-quality services and implement the Ministry’s approved requirements. According to the Ministry, those who violate the rules could face fines of up to one million riyals, facility closure, or both sanctions.
In addition, as part of its awareness-raising activities, the Ministry met with operators and investors of hospitality facilities in popular summer tourist locations. It listened to their ideas and questions and accompanied the facilities’ summer preparations, with the condition that all conditions be fulfilled, and the required Ministry licences be acquired to operate.
