Cultural Sector’s Growth
The Ministry of Culture’s data indicates that the university’s opening coincides with the cultural sector’s explosive expansion, with demand for cultural professionals predicted to rise by up to 7% a year over the next ten years. By 2030, this expansion is expected to boost the cultural sector’s economic contribution to the country to over 80 billion riyals and generate over 300,000 new jobs.
Riyadh University of Arts is a key player in creating an integrated cultural environment, with aims to enrol between 25,000 and 30,000 students by 2040 and train about 1,500 teachers to promote the growth of cultural education.
