Diriyah Season 2025–2026 launch

The Diriyah Gate Development Authority revealed the details of the Diriyah Season 2025–2026, which blends innovation, history, culture, and the arts. Under the theme “Your Pride, Your Place,” the season commenced on November 1, 2025, in Diriyah, celebrating its history through a cultural and tourism initiative.

Running for five months until March 23, 2026, the event aims to honour Saudi heritage and cater to both local and international audiences, featuring over 11 programmes designed to meet international standards.

The Diriyah Season’s Specifics & Events

Participants meet at the Al-Dhuwairah neighbourhood at 5:30 AM to start the walking trail, marking the start of the adventure. Al-Turaif, Al-Bujairi, Samhan, and Malwi are among the historic neighbourhoods and regions of Diriyah that the trail travels through.

As they pass sites connected to the area’s social and architectural past, visitors will see the sunrise at 6:00 AM. This image captures the grandeur of the natural surroundings and the architectural elements of Diriyah’s traditional architecture. Likewise, there are rest areas throughout the trail where hikers can soak in the surrounding landscape, hear historical tales about Diriyah, and snap pictures to record their journey.

Moreover, the journey culminates with a traditional breakfast at “Tawfiriya Al-Dhuwairah” at 8:00 a.m., with Najdi-inspired flavours. The setting embodies the spirit of Saudi hospitality, improving the visitor experience before departure. Besides, Diriyah Season 2025–2026 features over ten activities showcasing a variety of cultural, artistic, and heritage experiences, including live performances, historical tours, literary gatherings, marketplaces, and regional cuisine.

Further, the Manzal event in Wadi Hanifa offers a rich cultural and natural experience, featuring dining, stargazing, and traditional sports such as archery, falconry, and riding. In addition, there will be storytelling sessions, poetry readings, and handicraft workshops intended to acquaint guests with the customs and values of the area while highlighting traditional life in Diriyah’s beautiful setting.

Culturally speaking, the Samhan neighbourhood is developing into a vibrant area that highlights Diriyah’s cultural and architectural heritage from the First Saudi State. It promotes community involvement and knowledge sharing through cultural workshops and events celebrating Najdi identity.
