‘Seven Abha’: A New Entertainment Destination Tourism Booster in Asir

With the launch of the first Seven entertainment destination in Abha this August, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is continuing to increase its investments in the entertainment industry.

This project is part of a larger initiative to develop multiple entertainment venues across the Kingdom. The objectives are to boost domestic travel, provide modern entertainment options for tourists and families, and foster local economic growth.

Seven Abha’s First Entertainment Destination

The Saudi Entertainment Investment Company (Seven) announced that ‘Seven Abha,’ the company’s first project of its kind in the Asir region, would open on August 5, 2026.

Meanwhile, this opening is the outcome of a collaboration with the Asir Region Development Authority and a component of a strategy to build contemporary entertainment facilities in accordance with Saudi Vision 2030’s objectives. Abha is one of the most popular cities for tourists in the summer because of its mountainous terrain, moderate climate, and tourist appeal.

The new destination in Abha provides a variety of recreational activities for all ages, featuring interactive games, family-friendly spaces, social facilities, and year-round events. It aims to deliver a comprehensive experience that blends entertainment and relaxation while maintaining the cultural and natural uniqueness of the area, distinguishing it from traditional entertainment complexes.

Seven Abha is a Massive Domestic Tourism Project

The Seven Abha plan goes beyond Abha and includes the development and operation of 14 entertainment destinations across the Kingdom, with an investment of more than 50 billion riyals. Moreover, the project’s goal is to support the entertainment industry, increase its contribution to the national economy, create new job opportunities, and stimulate investment in the cities that host these projects.

By offering cutting-edge amenities and experiences on par with those in top international locations, these locations aim to lessen the need to travel outside the Kingdom for entertainment.

For the Asir region, which has recently seen the execution of several tourism and development projects, this project marks a new chapter. The project, which is housed inside the airport, connects it to neighbouring tourism and service initiatives and makes it easier for visitors to enter. Likewise, it is anticipated that the opening of Haft Abha will boost traveller numbers and revitalise business and hospitality operations, boosting the local economy and promoting tourism-related services.
