The season, spanning four months, will attract visitors and date enthusiasts from various Kingdom and Gulf States regions, showcasing the diverse date harvest seasons. Moreover, the season attracts tourists and shoppers, offering an opportunity for investors to learn about the economy in the Kingdom. Dates contribute 12% to the agricultural GDP and reach over 113 countries, making them an attractive tourist destination. The Otaiqah Dates Season is the largest date market in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, promoting tourism and economic value. It supports domestic products, manufacturing industries, diversifies the economy, and boosts Riyadh's vitality. The market showcases date varieties, connects traders and farmers, and caters to customer needs. This year's season activities cover 10,000 square metres, including a 2,500 square metre air-conditioned indoor hall, to enhance visitor experience. Besides, the season has allocated 65 retail stalls and 16 auction lanes for the Otaiqah Date Auction, one of the largest in the Kingdom, empowering merchants, farmers, and companies, and offering an online store for easy delivery services.
