SIMEC, the Saudi International Marine Exhibition, will take place at the Riyadh International Convention & Exhibition Centre from January 26 to 28, 2026.
The SIMC-Expo Saudi Arabia is one of the top G20 economies. Saudi Arabia has the world's “second largest crude reserves,” holding about 18% of the world's proven petroleum reserves. The fifth edition will emphasise the aquaculture, fisheries, seafood, and algae sectors, as well as the larger marine industry. Also, it boasts the fifth-largest proven natural gas reserves. Saudi Arabia is a founding member of OPEC, with total resources valued at $34.4 trillion, making it the third most abundant and lucrative natural resource country after Russia and the United States. SIMEC Aquafish, which anticipates welcoming more than 120 local and international exhibitors from 30 countries, as well as over 4,000 regional and global business leaders and hosted buyers, is solidifying its position as a leading platform for communication and collaboration among industry experts and specialists from Saudi Arabia and around the world. Furthermore, the exhibition will feature workshops, a fisheries museum, and events such as Chef of the Seas (seafood cooking competitions) and Master Class (cooking experience with the chef). This is a creative educational platform that provides instant cooking lessons and a workshop taught by expert chefs from the Saudi Chefs Association. Besides, the exhibition's business meeting programme facilitates interactions between exhibitors, investors, and local and international CEOs. According to estimates, the Kingdom's fish wealth self-sufficiency rate is roughly 53%. The goal is to increase this percentage by improving the quality of fish farming, producing new species that consumers prefer, and preserving the continuity of supply chains associated with marine fisheries within their most sustainable bounds.
