Electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia have evolved into real products, highlighted by the introduction of the “EXOBOT,” featuring unique traits.

Electric vehicles in Saudi Arabia have transitioned from futuristic concepts to tangible products, exemplified by the launch of the “EXOBOT.” This vehicle showcases unique local attributes while integrating advanced technology and high performance.

The initiative aims to establish a Saudi automotive product that competes in global markets, marking a significant advancement in the Kingdom’s automotive landscape.

An Artistic Nod to the Saudi Identity

EXOBOT, the inaugural product from Saudi company Ceer, is part of a strategy to introduce seven models over five years, including various sedans and SUVs with diverse powertrains. This launch supports the Kingdom’s ambition to develop a domestic electric vehicle industry that focuses on design, engineering, and technological advancement, aided by industrial and investment partnerships.

Moreover, Ceer aimed to imbue the EXOBOT with a unique character by connecting its design to the surrounding environment and local culture. Najdi architectural elements impact the exterior design of the vehicle, showcasing sharp yet fluid lines and a horizontal light signature that establishes a distinct visual identity.

Likewise, the vehicle’s design incorporates 32 vertical light strips on both the front and rear, symbolising the unification of the Kingdom in 1932. Inspired by the peregrine falcon, the nearly three-metre doors enhance entry and exit ease for the driver.

The influence of local culture is evident in the cabin, which is constructed from premium materials such as leather, fabric, and microfiber. The sculpted seats contribute to a futuristic, spacecraft-like aesthetic in the interior.

1,111 Horsepower & Rapid Acceleration

On the technical front, the EXOBOT showcases remarkable performance, featuring an output of 1,111 horsepower and 1,500 Nm of torque. The all-wheel-drive variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.4 seconds, while the sedan model accomplishes this in a quicker 2.1 seconds.

It can reach a top speed of 250 km/h, with a significant advantage of rapid charging, as the battery can be fully recharged in approximately 30 minutes. This emphasises the modern electric vehicle experience that the EXOBOT aims to offer.

The vehicle prioritises safety through a robust structural battery designed from the cell level to the pack, ensuring durability against harsh environmental conditions. Besides, equipped with seven airbags and advanced hazard detection and prevention systems, the vehicle aims to reduce accidents, according to the company.

A Screen Spanning the Cabin

Inside, technology is a fundamental design element of the “EXOBOT,” which boasts a substantial 48-inch main display that spans the dashboard, alongside a 10-inch central screen and two 8-inch rear touchscreens. The company’s philosophy extends beyond providing a high-spec vehicle; it stresses local manufacturing and quick delivery to consumers.

Ceer’s domestic manufacturing boasts quicker vehicle delivery times, allowing customers to receive their cars weeks after ordering. Overall, EXOBOT aims to create a unique Saudi identity in the electric vehicle sector by fusing local design with advanced performance and technology, as part of a larger initiative to increase production and export “Made in Saudi” vehicles globally.
