The Esports World Cup 2025 will return to Riyadh from July 7 to August 24, with 25 tournaments across 24 titles with a record-breaking prize fund of $70 million.

Notably, the Esports World Cup is a worldwide celebration of electronic sports fandom and competitive excellence. It has a special cross-game competition format that will match the best players worldwide against each other across several game titles for the biggest prize pool ever. Moreover, the Esports World Cup Foundation is organising the event, which will feature games such as Valorant, Crossfire, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, and chess. Competitions will take place across four arenas, with weekend finals for maximum viewing. In 2025, clubs will get six-figure base funding to expand their organisation and engage their players, fans, and brand during the Esports World Cup. Before EWC25, additional funding is given based on metrics and merit through various campaigns, activities, and bounties. Besides, a club's acceptance and involvement in the programme do not ensure that it will compete in the 2025 event. For each club to be eligible to play in the EWC tournament, they must first qualify using conventional means. The programme enables esports clubs to increase their investment in additional games, giving athletes worldwide competitive support and significant career opportunities. In 2023, the Esports World Cup Foundation introduced the EWCF Club Support Program, a pioneering effort to support sustainable esports club planning. It brings together gamers from around the world under a single banner, and promotes the event globally while promoting the world's top athletes. The Foundation is advancing this effort in 2025 and introducing the EWCF Club Partner Programme, an upgraded version. Ultimately, the EWCF Club Partner Programme will enhance participating clubs globally, support a sustainable ecosystem, and facilitate the expansion of esports as a global sport by investing a total of $20M in the esports ecosystem.
