Yasser Al Misehal is one of the well-known athletes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He obtained a great deal of expertise in the sports and football industries by holding several roles in these fields.

 

Yasser Al Misehal’s Background and Education

Yasser al Misehal was born in 1974. He resides in Saudi Arabia’s capital, Riyadh. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.

In 2015, he also earned a certificate in Sports Management from Paris-Sorbonne University Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates.

Following graduation, he worked in the private sector, especially for a communications and information technology firm, where he helped to achieve a significant increase in sales.

After the Saudi Federation nominated him, he served on the Asian Confederation’s Professional Clubs Committee in 2011.

He was the Professional League’s Executive Director in 2013 before becoming the Association’s President. In addition, Yasser al Misehal presided over the Stadium Management Committee.

 

Yasser Al Misehal Positions

He has been the Saudi Football Federation’s chairman of the board of directors since 2019 and will remain in that role as president until 2027 after defeating his rivals in the popular vote.

Member of the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Council since 2022.

He became the CEO of the “Saudi Professional League” from 2013 to 2015, the Vice President of the “Saudi Football Federation” from 2017 to 2019, and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “Saudi Professional League” from 2016 to 2017.

Additionally, he was a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) professional clubs’ ad hoc council from 2011 to 2014.

He was a member of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Disciplinary Committee from 2015 to 2022 and the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Disciplinary Committee from 2017 to 2022.
