Abdullah Al-Zamil is a Saudi businessman who has held many positions in several companies and is the CEO of Al-Zamil Industrial Investment Company.

 

Abdullah Al-Zamil’s Background and Educational Achievements

He was born in Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His father is Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Zamil, and his mother is Lulwa bint Abdulaziz bin Sulaiman Al-Salim.

In 1987, he graduated from the University of Washington in the United States of America with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. After that, he returned to the Kingdom to finish his education and graduated from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in 1992 with a master’s degree in business administration.

 

Abdullah Al-Zamil Positions

  • Abdullah had several positions. From 2004 until 2009, he was Chief Operating Officer of Al-Zamil Industrial Investment Company. Subsequently, he became Executive Vice President of Shared Central Services for the corporation. In addition, he served as an industrial engineer, senior president, and vice president of Al-Zamil AC’s sales, marketing, purchasing, and resources departments.
  • He has served on the boards of directors of many businesses and organisations, the most significant of which is that he was a founding member of Endeavour Saudi Arabia’s board of directors, which is a division of Endeavour International. Georgetown, Cayman Islands-based Endeavour International is a worldwide mining corporation that oversees many mines.
  • He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Arab Fiberglass Insulating Materials Company Ltd. (AFICO), in addition to his membership in Rabiah, Nassar, and Zamil Concrete Industries Ltd. He is also a member of the Gulf Insulation Group (GIG), the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), and the General Authority of Civil Aviation in Saudi Arabia.
  • In 2014, he served on the boards of VIVA Bahrain, Gulf International Bank in the United Kingdom and Zamil Infrastructure Projects Limited in India.
  • He assumed the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors and Chairman of the Executive Committee at Gulf International Bank in Saudi Arabia in 2019.
