A meeting in Britain of the Libyan National Oil Corporation regarding marine installations

The Libyan National Oil Corporation reported that a meeting took place in the offices of the implementing contractor in “Basingstoke” in the United Kingdom, to follow up on the implementation of the basic and advanced engineering designs contract for the development of the offshore structures (A) and (E).

On the Libyan side, the meeting was attended by “Belkacem Shanqir” and “Al-Amari Mohamed” members of the Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation, “Khalaf Allah Ibrahim”, Director General of Legal Affairs of the Corporation, “Hussein Abu Siliana”, Chairman of the Operator Management Committee for Mellita Oil and Gas Company, and “Jamal Huwaisah, General Manager of the project, and the meeting was also attended via the closed circuit, “Rajab Arara”, Executive Director of the Joint Projects Team, his deputy, and members of the Operator Management Committee for Mellita Oil and Gas Company.

The meeting dealt with reviewing the outputs of the start-up meeting to hold the basic and advanced engineering designs for the project to develop structures “A” and “E” marine, which was held last week, and the joining of the rest of the project members from Mellitah Company and the contractor with the project team currently in Britain.

The meeting also discussed providing financial coverage for the project and developing alternative plans to confront the spread of the Covid-19 virus in order not to affect the implementation of the project within the specified period – according to what was reported about the electronic platforms of the National Oil Corporation – and the members of the corporation’s board of directors – at the conclusion of the meeting – praised the efforts The project team and everyone agreed to provide the necessary support and harness the capabilities to move forward in the implementation of this vital important project – as described by the institution.
