Iman Al-Mutairi Academic Accomplishments

Dr. Iman graduated with a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from King Faisal University, now known as Imam Abdulrahman Bin Faisal University, in Dammam. After that, she graduated with a doctorate in Bio-organic chemistry from the University of Bristol in Britain.

She then worked as a post-doctoral molecular biology researcher at Harvard University in the United States. She recently graduated from Henley College at the University of Reading in Britain with a professional managing and executive training certificate.

 

Her Notable Works

  • Establishing an operational framework and inspiring the private sector’s Committee for Improving Business Performance to engage in economic development (Tayseer).
  • Getting ready to launch the National Competitiveness Centre, one of the national transformation projects for 2020.
  • Supervising all reforms with over 50 government agencies and pertinent international organisations, including the World Bank Group and the World Economic Forum, to enhance the business environment in the Kingdom.
  • Supervising the Saudi Business Centre’s establishment.

 

Roles and Real-World Experiences

  • Iman, the director of the Human Capacity Development Office. She oversees the duty of coordinating one of Vision 2030’s key initiatives. With the development of the executive plan and the programmes it contains to change the system of education and training from early childhood to lifetime learning (2018–present).
  • Providing consultations to the Social Affairs Minister (2015).
  • Member of the Royal University of Bahrain’s Board of Trustees for the Royal University for Girls in the Kingdom of Bahrain (2013–present).
  • Director of the Coordination Project for the partnership between Saudi Aramco Hospital and Johns Hopkins Medical Centre (2012-2014).
  • Director of the Aramco Accelerated Strategic Transformation Programme, which focuses on developing leaders at Saudi Aramco (2011–2012).

  • Head of the Public Medical Relations Department, Acting Director of the Medical Technical Support Services Department, and then Head of the Quality and Patient Safety Department at Aramco Hospital (2007-2010).
