In a yearly report published by Euromonitor, Dubai came in second place as the world’s top city destination for 2023.
The list places cities across the globe in order of popularity, sustainability, economic expansion, and safety. In essence, successful cities are well-liked and strategically improve everyone’s quality of life.
Utilising 55 metrics, such as tourism infrastructure, economic and commercial performance, and health and safety standards, the Euromonitor Index assesses the world’s most popular travel destinations.
Only Paris surpassed Dubai, while Madrid, Tokyo and Amsterdam comprised the rest of the top five cities.
Dubai, the only city in the Middle East to make it into the top 20, further proudly represents the region.
According to Euromonitor’s Top 100 Destination Cities Index for 2023, the following 20 cities rank highest:

Dubai has received numerous prestigious awards this year alone. It has been recognised for rising from being the world’s greatest city for nomads to being ranked among the top ten cities for foodies, the most sought-after travel destination for foreign nationals, and one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
