Saudi Arabia’s First ‘Amaala’ Resort Opens, Boosting Luxury Travel

The first resort within the AMAALA destination in the ‘Triple Bay’ area has opened, according to Red Sea Global. This action highlights the Kingdom’s determination to solidify its standing as a leading global destination for luxury and wellness travel and signifies the project’s transition from development to operations.

First Resort Opening & Tourism Operations Start in 2026

The first hotel establishment to operate within the “Amaala” destination, the “Four Seasons Resort and Residences Amaala,” which is situated on the northwest coast of the Kingdom with a view of the Red Sea, has officially opened, according to Red Sea Global. With this opening, one of the most well-known luxury tourism initiatives in the area—which is based on the idea of upscale wellness travel—begins real operations.

According to Group CEO John Pagano, this milestone is crucial to realising the project’s vision. He pointed out that sticking to the schedule shows the project’s capacity to strike a balance between economic aspirations and social and environmental effects, strengthening the Kingdom’s standing as a top luxury and wellness destination worldwide.

A Luxurious Red Sea Travel Spot

Based on the ideas of holistic luxury experiences and regenerative tourism, ‘Amaala’ is one of Red Sea Global’s major tourism projects. The destination, which is situated in the ‘Triple Bay’ region, will have more than 1,600 hotel rooms spread across nine opulent resorts in addition to an integrated coastal hub with upscale dining, shopping, and entertainment options.

The construction of iconic facilities like the Amaala Yacht Club and “Corallium”—a marine life institute—is also part of the plans, which will strengthen the project’s standing as a complete destination for wellness and marine tourism.

The Four Seasons Resort and Residences at Amaala, designed by an architectural firm to combine luxury and environmental sustainability, runs on 100% renewable energy and employs advanced waste management systems aimed at reducing environmental impact and achieving a “zero-waste” goal.

In addition to 26 branded Four Seasons private residential villas, each measuring more than 1,000 square meters and furnished with private pools and opulent amenities, the resort offers 202 rooms, suites, and villas with direct views of the Red Sea. Along with a fitness centre and wellness programmes that include sound therapy and yoga by the beach, it also has a full-service spa and the “Helya” wellness centre.

Top-Notch Recreational Facilities & Services

Six fine-dining establishments, extensive family facilities with five swimming pools, and a 900-metre private beach are just a few of the resort’s many recreational and hospitality offerings. Furthermore, the property has more than 1,000 square metres of event space set aside for conferences, meetings, and weddings, further solidifying its reputation as a top location for upscale travel and business.

As part of Red Sea Global’s strategy to redefine global luxury tourism by fusing luxury, sustainability, and wellness experiences, this resort’s opening represents the first phase of a plan to operate nine luxury resorts at the AMAALA destination.
