The House of Lords Hosts a Real Estate Reception for Saudi & UK Investors
On July 9, 2026, a select group of investors, developers, and business leaders from Saudi Arabia and the UK gathered at the House of Lords in Westminster for a private real estate evening. The topic of discussion was real estate investment opportunities, potential avenues for economic cooperation between the two nations, and the changes occurring in the Saudi real estate industry within Vision 2030.
As part of London Investment Season 2026, the International Investment Gate (IIG) organised the Real Estate Reception event, and Lord Udny-Lister hosted it.
Given the regulatory and investment changes occurring in the Kingdom’s real estate market, including the introduction of the investment guide for non-Saudi property ownership in Saudi Arabia, the fact that this meeting took place in one of Britain’s most prominent political and historical locations reflects the growing interest in Saudi real estate in London.
A Restricted & Selective Attendance
Unlike traditional open conferences or trade shows, the event was invitation-only and only 100 people attended. The purpose of the event was to bring together those directly involved in real estate investment between Saudi Arabia and the UK in a small, private setting that would allow for more intimate and focused conversations.
Moreover, high-ranking ministerial officials from both Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, as well as representatives from investment companies that manage major family offices, real estate executives, developers, and corporate figures, attended the event. Additionally, there were representatives from industries that support real estate investment, such as consulting, legal, and financial services.
The nature of the gathering itself was what made the evening significant, not how many people showed up. To bring together stakeholders with a direct interest in real estate, cross-border investment, and the opportunities presented by Saudi Arabia’s economic transformation within the framework of Vision 2030, IIG was eager to organise a small but extremely pertinent meeting.
The Exclusive Panel Discussion
The evening’s focal point was a special panel discussion led by International Investment Gate (IIG) Events and Marketing Manager Mahmoud Nahhas. The discussion focused on the real estate markets in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, emphasising their distinctions and similarities. Likewise, it discussed cross-border investment structures, housing and construction industry developments, and Saudi real estate investment opportunities.
The discussions followed the Chatham House Rule, which means that the guidelines keep panel discussions confidential and prohibit attributing comments to any specific individual or entity. As a result, the event’s overall framework limits media coverage and excludes quotes or details attributed to participants.
Besides, the panellists included Shakeel Adli, Founder and CEO of Zunikh Real Estate Development; Marcus Siddons, Director at Baker Wilkins & Smith; and Dr. Mohammed bin Waleed Al-Suwaidan, CEO of the International Investment Gate (IIG). The participants’ backgrounds reflected the breadth of topics covered at the event, which ranged from real estate development and Islamic finance to construction consulting and connecting Gulf capital to real estate opportunities in Britain and Saudi Arabia.
A Pause for a Wider Investment Season
This event served as the second stop on the IIG-organised London Investment Season 2026, which aimed to expand the platform for communication between Saudi real estate opportunities and Gulf capital and the UK market.
The evening came after the UK-KSA Apex, which took place at Westminster’s Queen Elizabeth II Centre on June 11, 2026. IIG and Jozo, a Saudi platform that specialises in fractional ownership and Sharia-compliant structures, signed a Memorandum of Understanding at this closed investment forum.
The IIG Real Estate Exhibition, which will take place from August 2-4, 2026, at the Grand Ballroom of the Chancery Rosewood Hotel in Grosvenor Square, Mayfair, is the third event that IIG will host this season.
The Saudi Property Show in London
According to IIG, the forthcoming event is the biggest Saudi real estate show in the United Kingdom. Saudi developers, UK real estate experts, financial and legal advisors, and institutional investors will all be present at this free public event.
It is anticipated that Al Awaly Real Estate, a well-known Saudi developer with projects in Mecca and Medina, will have a prominent spot at the event. Through this involvement, those who are interested in owning real estate close to the holy cities will have the chance to meet the developer in person in London in a setting that blends professional advice with property presentations.
One sign of the increasing institutional and investment interest in the Saudi-UK real estate market is the House of Lords’ reception, which was organised in collaboration with the Saudi British Joint Business Council and sponsored by Zunikh Real Estate Development, Argaam Investments, and Dar Al Khaleej.
Furthermore, this event strengthened IIG’s position as a platform that links experts, investors, developers, and institutional entities in the UK and Saudi markets. The main benefit of these gatherings is not the number of attendees, but rather their ability to unite the appropriate stakeholders around a specific goal: converting the increasing interest in Saudi real estate into more structured and transparent investment opportunities for investors in London and the Gulf.
