The First Arts College in Saudi Arabian History Opens Its Doors

The first college of arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia opened its doors at King Saud University in the capital city of Riyadh.

The first college of arts in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia opened its doors at King Saud University in the capital city of Riyadh. The Saudi Ministry of Culture and King Saud University worked together strategically to construct the college.

This initiative advances the Kingdom’s 2030 strategy for cultural growth.

 

The First Arts College’s Departments and Programmes

The three main areas of teaching at the college cover a variety of artistic disciplines, including performing arts, visual arts, and design.

The college offers a variety of specific study programmes in performing arts, filmmaking, jewellery design, fashion design, graphic design, and fine arts including, painting, sculpting, and Arabic calligraphy.

The Ministry of Culture assists the college by enhancing lesson plans and providing training to faculty members. Both of which contribute to the creation of a superior learning environment.

The Ministry also offers students training chances to expand their knowledge and get ready for a creative future.

 

The College’s Role in the Kingdom’s Cultural Strategy

The inauguration of the College of Arts is an important component of Saudi Arabia’s national cultural plan. The College of Arts strives to provide academic opportunities for exceptional young people.
